Overview
Edit local tables, calculate formulas, clean data and import CSV, TSV, XLSX and AKY files.
Features
- Formulas
- Data cleanup
- CSV, TSV, XLSX and AKY import
- AKY, CSV and TSV export
Manual
Requirements
A current browser with local storage or the Toolbox desktop app. Files stay local.
Steps
The interface follows the Toolbox language. Open file opens a file;
Import data applies its preview; Save sheet exports;
Undo undoes and Redo redoes. Double-click edits a cell.
Formulas start with =; use semicolons between function arguments.
Parameters
Import, database, save and column transformation use the Turpial Windows-style dialog. Drag its title to move it, or an edge/corner to resize it. Focus the title or a resize grip with Tab and use arrow keys (Shift for larger steps). Double-click the title or choose Maximize to maximize; Restore restores the normal size. Fullscreen enters real browser fullscreen; denial is shown in the dialog. Exit fullscreen exits fullscreen. Close or Escape cancels without applying data and restores focus. Import, database and save geometry is remembered separately on this device.
CSV/TSV supports header and delimiter selection. XLSX supports worksheet selection. The column menu splits or joins columns. Cleanup previews matching rows before deletion. Desktop database import supports PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Microsoft SQL Server and SQLite. Credentials remain temporary; SQL validation does not load result data.
Result
AKY preserves formulas, formatting and view settings. CSV/TSV exports calculated values, including hidden rows and columns. Autosave restores the local session.
Common errors
Unsupported Excel formulas retain cached results with a warning. Invalid input preserves the current document. Limits: 25 MiB, 50,000 data rows and 1,000,000 cells. Macros and XLSX export are not supported.
Troubleshooting
Check formula references, split oversized tables, and export AKY if local storage fails. For database errors, check the target, credentials, TLS and SQL.
Language and help
The Toolbox language controls the interface, accessible names and this help in German, English or Spanish. Switching language preserves cells, formulas and undo history. Help opens this manual. The standalone development preview's Language selector supplies the same locale as the host. Formula names remain SUMME/SUM, RUNDEN/ROUND, MITTELWERT/AVERAGE, MIN, MAX and ABS in every language; Spanish aliases such as SUMA are unsupported. Decimal comma and point are valid input; function arguments use semicolons.
Actions and properties
| Area | Operation and result |
|---|---|
| Grid | Double-click or F2 edits; Enter confirms, Escape cancels. Arrows, Tab, Home/End and Ctrl+Home/End navigate. Shift extends a selection. |
| Formula bar | Shows the active address and raw contents. Apply writes the input. Arrow keys and Enter/Tab choose a formula suggestion; Escape dismisses it. |
| Clipboard | Ctrl+C/X/V copies, cuts or pastes. Paste values, contents/formulas or formats separately. Protected cells are not overwritten. |
| Fill | Fill down and the fill handle repeat values/formulas. Two numbers define a series. Convert formulas to values replaces formulas with their results. |
| History | Undo and Redo are disabled without a corresponding history entry. Ctrl+Z/Y performs the same operations. |
| Rows | Row header/menu inserts above/below, deletes, hides/shows or freezes rows. Deletion is undoable. |
| Columns | Click a header to select; Shift extends selection. Insert left/right, move, delete, hide/show and freeze using the menu. The last visible column cannot be hidden. |
| Sorting | Ascending/descending requires a column selection. Clear sorting restores the original view. Cell addresses remain unchanged. |
| Filters | Set a text filter in the column menu and choose Apply filter. Clear all filters removes filtering without changing cell data. |
| Width | Fit column width measures visible contents. Properties sets label, pixel width and alignment; Apply column settings confirms. |
| Numbers | Default, number, euro, percentage or quantity with unit; 0–8 decimals. Format selected cells or columns. Reset a cell format to remove its local override. |
| Conditions | Less/greater/equal, empty or formula error; red text, yellow/green background or bold. Add or delete rules; the first match wins. |
| Search | Choose visible cells or the selection when opened, and values or formulas. Navigate previous/next matches; replace one or all within the selected scope. |
| Cleanup | Define duplicate, text, empty-cell or numeric rules. Choose OR/AND, all/visible rows, values/raw contents and comparison settings. A current preview is required before deleting matches. |
| Duplicates | Keep the first, last or no entry; optionally include empty values. Original row order determines the result. |
| Spaces | Trim edge spaces and optionally reduce repeated spaces. Review before applying; formulas are preserved. |
| Transform | Split one column or join at least two. Set name/prefix, delimiter, scope, order and empty-value behavior. Replacing removes source columns; references to removed columns can become #BEZUG!. |
| Session | Autosave reports success or failure. Delete local session removes recovery and disables autosave until reload, preserving the visible sheet and exported files. |
Database systems and SQL
SQL is a query language, not a universal server connection. Select the actual system: PostgreSQL (default port 5432), MySQL/MariaDB (3306) or Microsoft SQL Server (1433). Host, port, database, user and password are editable. SQL Server uses SQL authentication over TCP; Windows authentication, named instances without an explicit port, SSH tunnels and client certificates are not implemented. Empty passwords are allowed when accepted by the server. Use a read-only database user.
SQLite uses files: Open SQLite file grants access to the selected file only. Opened files appear in the source list. Validate SQL invokes the database parser without reading results. Run query loads a preview; Import data explicitly replaces the sheet. Empty queries, missing users and active operations disable the relevant actions. Only individual SELECT/WITH queries are allowed; comments and additional statements are rejected. Each server retains its SQL dialect. SQL Server rejects SELECT INTO, sequence changes and external pass-through queries. Limits: 50,000 result rows, 1,024 columns, 20 MiB; 5-second query timeout, 8 seconds for SQLite. Oversized results are rejected, never silently truncated.
Open source & data transparency

Terms of use and licensing · Third parties and data transparency
File import, formulas and export run locally. Sessions are stored in this browser profile's IndexedDB; view preferences and connection targets are local. Users, passwords and SQL are not saved with sessions. In the desktop app, an explicitly started database action sends SQL and credentials directly to the selected server and receives results from it. Remote connections require verified TLS; loopback may be unencrypted. SQLite remains local. The web version has no direct database access. After successful export the host may report tool/action usage metadata; cell contents, SQL and credentials are excluded.
